After being replaced in 1965 by Engine 52-1-76, old Truck 2 was purchased by an Antique
dealer in western Monmouth County. The truck was kept in storage for many years and was
passed on from owner to owner. In late 2005 the Wall Fire Company # 1 Centennial
Committee began searching for the truck. The committee stumbled upon a news article and
was able to track down the owner. The owner advised them he had just sold the truck to a
collector in New York.
The new owner is in the current stages of restoring the old truck and plans on putting it in his
Fire Engine museum upon completion. The truck should be fully restored by 2008.
