The Wall Fire Company #1 received its first Chiefs vehicle in 1974. The Fire Commissioners of Wall District #1 leased the vehicle from the Township of Wall for $1.00 per year. The vehicle was a 1968 Dodge Coronet, a former Police Car. In the late 1970's a used 1974 Ford Station Wagon was acquired for the Fire Chief. The wagon was used until 1984 when the Fire Commissioners purchased the first "new" vehicle, a 1984 Ford Escort. In 1989 the Escort was replaced by a new Chevrolet Suburban. The Suburban served seven Chiefs over the 12 years it was in service. It was replaced in 2001 by a Chevrolet Tahoe. The 1989 Suburban was reassigned to the Fire Police Division where it currently serves as Unit 52-1-87. The 2001 Tahoe was in service until it was replaced by the current Chief's vehicle, a 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe.
